How to Eliminate Hot Tub Chlorine Odor

Hot Tub Tutorials

Quick Tip 101 eliminating that potent chlorine odor.

The notoriously, offensive chlorine odor is typically caused, by excessive chlorine in the water or a low pH level. For addressing this issue our weapon of choice will either be a shocking agent such as an oxidizer or non-chlorine shock, or pH Up or pH Down. We'll use a testing strip to find out which is the culprit, then select our chemical. PH seems fine. How about... by the left shoe of a businessman, total chlorine is off the charts! We must engage the jets and prepare the shocking agent.

Well done! Now, we must allow 30 to 60 minutes for our shocking agent to do its thing. Repeat this process until chlorine levels are in their proper range and the odor has been eliminated.
